University Of Oxford: Research In Epigenetics

We are happy to announce that our Director of Operations, Maria Pruss has received the approval to start her research in epigenetics at the University of Oxford, as she is working towards her MSc degree in Evidence Based Healthcare.

As her topic of interest, she will be focusing on epigenetic aging mechanisms within postmenopausal female population. Over the course of next year VDR and ESR1 genes will be analyzed to determine whether there is a clinically significant correlation between polymorphisms of these two genes and early onset of osteoporosis (specifically looking into bone mineral density).
